A for Amoy and 93 for the unit that i found myself right at the epiphanous moment of inspiration.

 and the cat whispered,

“build me a temple of sorts.”

While walking along Amoy street, something shiny caught my eye. I turned to investigate and saw a sea of jade green tiles that belonged to the roof of a chinese temple adorned with animalistic characters, held up by a massive white wall. As I admired the details, standing there in the background was the roof of another building. Its roof stood proud, massive and stripped down of details, supported predominantly only by four huge pillars.

Captivated by the idea of animals on a roof exploring from high and the idea of a sanctuary of rest for our fur-line companions in the modern home, became the starting point for the project where i seek references from traditional and modern architecture to explore of relationships between man and our four legged feline friends.

A93 is designed with flat packing in mind and is made up of mostly extrusion profiles, powdered coated for durability and accented with copper details that can be interchanged to allow for personalisations.
